Snapdeal s partnership with GoJavas has borne yet another interesting service. In what is a first-of-its -kind service in the e-commerce space, the duo will offer a service called ’90-minute reverse pick up’. What this means is, that once you place a request for return of goods, the e-commerce company will send a delivery boy within 90 minutes of intimation. Amazon, Flipkart and other e-commerce sites offer same day deliveries, but no one has gone the extra mile to ease its return policy. Returning goods online is a big hassle, and sometime takes weeks for returning a product and getting a refund. This new 90-minute reverse pick up service has been introduced to address this pain point, and make more people shop online.
Speaking about the initiative, Ashish Chitravanshi, Vice President Operations, Snapdeal said, The 90-minute reverse pick up facility is a continuing collaborative effort to design insightful logistics solutions that strengthen our supply chain infrastructure. Our association helps us create unique offerings basis Snapdeal s insights into customers everyday shopping needs and gojavas understanding of logistics and delivery challenges, with the ultimate focus on delivering customer delight.”
This facility has first been rolled out to 15 cities with the intention to build consumer goodwill and enhance the online shopping experience. However, the two companies plan to expand this service to 300 cities in the next three to five months.
Earlier this week, Snapdeal announced another service, wherein users across 200 cities will be able to pay through their credit and debit cards when they opt for pay-on-delivery option. This service too is a part of the Snapdeal-GoJavas partnership.
