Ray-Bans are no doubt cool, but they could soon do more than just protect one’s eyes from the harsh sun. Sayalee Kaluskar, a student in Miami Ad School at San Francisco, has developed a pair of solar-powered Ray-Bans, which can be used to charge your iPhone 5. The brilliance of the concept lies in its simplicity. Kaluskar attached a pair of small solar panels on each arm of the shades, which absorb solar energy when you are out in the sun. Once the sun goes down, you can detach one or both these arms and connect them to the iPhone 5’s Lightning connector to charge the device.
