It is just about a few hours for the launch of Sony s much talked about attachable camera for smartphone, along with Xperia Z1 (Honami), and details of the camera has leaked yet again. This time it is the official promo video spotted by MobileGeeks. This video featuring the Sony QX100 and QX10 attachable lenses further shows the lenses in action and clears the functionality part, and a couple of other features. The video shows a person using this camera by either attaching it on the phone s back or using it as an individual enhancement gear without physically attaching it to the phones. It also shows that one can use it by simply connecting it to a smartphone via NFC. This additional camera lens will also offer auto-focus and manual focus as well. The phone’s display will act as a viewfinder and one doesn’t have to physically attach the accessory to the phone, which means that the camera attachment can be placed at a different place and the viewfinder on the phone can be used to click photos.

The video also confirms that the QX100, which will come with a higher price tag, will comes with a 20.2-megapixel Exmor R sensor and an f/1.8 Carl Zeiss lens, while the comparatively cheaper QX10 will come with a 18-megapixel CMOS sensor with 10x zoom and an f/3.5-3.9 lens. However, all this will certainly not come for cheap as rumors suggest the QX100 is likely to cost $450 and the QX10 will come for $250.

While it certainly sounds like an interesting accessory but the pricing and the concept doesn’t sound quite right at the moment. However, we will come to know more about it later today when Sony officially announces it.
