All this while two Sony smartphones have been incessantly leaked and now rumours suggest that Sony could launch a new Smart Watch at the Mobile Asia Expo 2013 which starts later this week in Shanghai, if a report by the Xperia Blog is to be believed. Sony Mobile has been tweeting “One in three smartphone users want smart wrist wear” and “Wearable tech is in our DNA. Remember WALKMAN, now…?” with the hashtags #itstime, #MAE2013.
In addition to this Sony is expected to launch a few smartphones at an event in Paris. The two phones in question are codenamed the Honami and Togari. The Togari is expected to be a 6 plus inch phablet which will most probably go by the name Xperia ZU. The Honami on the other hand is expected have a CyberShot branded camera and the latest Snapdragon 800 CPU, which should make it quite a formidable device.
Possibly, this Smart Watch would be a companion device for these smartphones and other devices in Sony’s portfolio.
