We have been hearing about a Walkman-series Android smartphone from Sony Ericsson for sometime now and it is finally here. Yup, officially here! Sony Ericsson’s Indonesia page has put up the W8 Walkman phone. To be honest, the W8 looks like a re-branded version of the X8, just that it sports the typical Walkman Black and Orange uniform. It runs on Android 2.1 (really!) and comes with the same UI as the X8. Specs include a 3.0-inch 320×480 pixel display, a 3.2 MP shooter and 128 MB of internal storage apart from the regular connectivity options. The W8 will be launched in India along with a handful of South East Asian countries. We would guesstimate a sub-Rs 10,000 price tag when it is launched in India.
