The Alpha 7R has been launched with a 36.4 effective megapixels Exmor CMOS sensor with support for 14-bit RAW recording. The Alpha 7, on the other hand, comes with a 24.3 effective megapixels Exmor CMOS sensor which allows 14-bit RAW recording. These also come with Clear Image Zoom and audio recording level control and display, and offer HDMI output support. Both the cameras can be connected to the smartphones through Wi-Fi or NFC, and are compatible with Android and iOS phones.
