The DTO1-E isn’t your usual drone, and in fact looks like a shrunken fighter plane. It can take off and lands vertically, can carry cargo up to 10kgs, and fly at a maximum speed of 170 kilometers per hour for more than two hours. The drone is quite beautiful and can really fly, but if you want to get your hands on it, you will be left disappointed. This is only meant for aerial infrastructure and land surveys, and will only be available for businesses.
Sony also showcased the MCO1-P quadcopter, which is more in line with the commercial drones you can buy today. It features a Sony DSC-QX30 camera, GPS and INS (Inertial navigation system). It isn’t too big, featuring dimensions of 515×515×400mm, and weighs only about three kilograms.
