After launching the selfie-focused Xperia C3 in August last year, Sony has now launched its successor Xperia C4 in India. The company has not yet announced the price of the smartphone, but has confirmed that the Xperia C4 will be available in the market from mid-June. Just like its predecessor, the Xperia C4 too is focused on the selfie loving crowd. It features a 5-megapixel snapper upfront with Exmor R image sensor and LED flash. At the back, there is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with image stabilizer, HDR, 4x digital zoom, and 1080p video recording capabilities. The Xperia C4 flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MTK6752 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, there is 16GB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone also features 2,600mAh battery with STAMINA mode that the company claims is good enough for more than 12 hours of talktime, and up to 682 hours on standy mode, Sony 3D Surround Sound technology, FM Radio, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, and aGPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
In comparison, last year s Xperia C3 featured a 5.5-inch HD 720p display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core chipset, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB. The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, 2,500mAh battery, and on the software front, the Xperia C3 has been updated to Android Lollipop.
