The Sony Xperia SL is now available online at Infibeam for Rs 30,999. While Sony did not launch the Xperia SL with the pomp and luster of a full-fledged launch event or even a press release, the device is now available online and it certainly improves on the specs we have already seen in the Xperia S.
The Xperia SL combines a 4.3-inch display with a 720p Bravia Engine powered display with a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 chip and 1GB of RAM. Additionally, we get the same 12.1-megapixel camera from the Xperia S, a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera and 32GB of internal memory of which 26GB is available to the user.
The phone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which admittedly is not the latest version, but that’s a nuisance most people are already used to. Other frills include NFC connectivity, a HDMI out, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and a 3.5mm jack. The Xperia SL will give competition to the HTC One S, which features almost similar specs in terms of the processor and display size but lacks the display resolution, camera resolution and internal storage space.
