Talking of specifications, the Xperia SP is built on an aluminum frame, which keeps the weight down while giving the device a premium feel and sports a 4.6-inch 720p HD (1280×720 pixels) display with a Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology. The device is powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor and includes features like an 8-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor technology, 8GB of internal memory and a 2,370mAH battery. On the software side of things the Xperia SP supports NFC, runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is available in white, red and black color variants.
The Sony Xperia SP with a price of Rs 27,490 enters into a highly competitive market where it will square off against the likes of the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S III among others.
