Ahead of the India launch of Sony Xperia Z1 next week, the company has reportedly slashed the prices of two of its X series smartphones – Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra. This means, from Rs 19,990, the Sony Xperia XA1 now costs Rs 17,990. Similarly, the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra, which was originally price at Rs 29,990, is now selling for Rs 27,990. BGR India has reached out to Sony to confirm the price cut. You can purchase the two devices at the reduced prices from any Sony Centre or major electronic stores across the country. As for online, at the time of writing the story, the prices of the Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra remain unchanged on Flipkart, while Amazon India has listed them at the new prices. Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra specifications and features
Launched in April 2017, the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra is equipped with a 6-inch full HD edge-to-edge display. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.
For photography, the Xperia XA1 Ultra sports a 23-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection, laser autofocus and LED flash. Up front, is a 16-megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization.
Fueling the smartphone is a 2,700mAh battery, which comes with Qnovo Adaptive Charging, STAMINA Mode and Quick Charging, which the company says can charge the device to 60 percent in 45 minutes. The Sony Xperia XA1 is essentially a low-specced variant of the Xperia XA1 Ultra. The Xperia XA1 flaunts a 5-inch HD display. Under the hood, MediaTek Helio P20 64-bit octa-core SoC is paired with 3GB of RAM, accompanied with 32GB of internal storage. The storage however can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. For photography, it sports a 23-megapixel camera at the rear, with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS mobile image sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 24mm wide-angle lens and hybrid auto-focus. The smartphone is fueled by a 2,300mAh battery with Quick Charging support, and Sony s STAMINA mode for extended battery life. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and USB Type-C port. On the software front, the Xperia XA1 runs on Android Nougat out-of-the-box.
