Earlier this year at MWC 2018, Sony unveiled the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact smartphones. Now, four months later, the company has brought the Xperia XZ2 in India, and it will be available to purchase starting August 1 via Sony and select retail stores. Among the key highlights, it lets you record 4K HDR movies, which is a first for any smartphone out there. The Xperia XZ2 also comes with 960fps super slow-motion video recording capabilities, and a dynamic vibration system which makes the phone rumble along with media and games.

Sony Xperia XZ2 price in India

The Xperia XZ2 is steeply priced at Rs 72,990 in India. At this price point, the smartphone will compete with the likes Huawei P20 Pro, Oppo Find X, Vivo NEX, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and iPhone 8 Plus to name a few. Also, while competitors come with dual cameras, Sony is relying on a single camera. In fact, the Galaxy Note 8 comes with a QHD+ display, whereas Sony is restricted to Full HD+ resolution, which is not a good advantage in front of the competition.
