Sony has just announced on its official blog that it is rolling out Android 5.1 Lollipop update for its Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 users worldwide. The update is being gradually rolled out via OTA and will differ in arrival time depending on markets and carriers. The update brings along a lot of bug fixes and increased customizations. It brings in LinkedIn integration with the Calendar app, camera upgrades, enhanced enterprise support, and smartWear integration which will now let you use the SmartWatch 3 as a remote shutter button for your smartphone’s camera. If you hold an Xperia Z2 or an Xperia Z3, then you will gradually receive a notification on your smartphone. You can alternatively also manually check by going to Menu -> Settings -> About device -> Software update -> Update. It is recommended to free up some space and download the software update via a strong Wi-Fi connection. Sony has also confirmed that the Lollipop update will be rolled out to Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra in a few weeks. The company also mentioned that Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia C3, Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Aqua will also receive the update, but it might take some time.
