According to the rumor, the Japanese technology company is planning on unveiling the device at the CES 2015, which will take place in January. Among the hardware revelations, the Xperia Z4 will sport a 5.4-inch display as opposed to 5.5-inch screen we had heard before. The phone will be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 805 instead of the rumored Snapdragon 810 processor, it is being said. On the memory front, the 4GB expectation is still strong. The Z4 will definitely offer Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
On the camera side, the phone is said to ship with the same 20.7-megapixel rear shooter. While the megapixel count has remained same as this year s Z3, the sensor are said to come with two more lenses that enable the device to collect more light. The selfie camera, on the other hand, has received a significant update. The Z4 is said to pack a 4.8 snapper upfront. The company is also packing in a more powerful battery this time, increasing the count from 3,100mAh to 3,420mAh. It seems necessary as well, as the phone will now have to manage high power consumption demands from the larger screen, faster processor and more RAM.
Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra
Alongside details of flagship smartphone Xperia Z4, some new information of Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra, the phablet has also surfaced. The device is said to ship with a 5.9-inch Triluminos display as opposed to the 6.4-inch display we had heard before.
It will carry the same Snapdragon 805 chipset with 4GB of RAM as Xperia Z4. On the camera front, it will have a 16-megapixel sensor with dual LED flash. The device is extremely thin as well with a thickness of only 5.7mm.
