It has barely been a month since Sony launched the Xperia Z3, and the first details of Sony’s next flagship have already emerged. AndroidOrigin cites a source claiming that Sony is set to pull out all stops with the Xperia Z4, and the forthcoming device will boast really high-end specifications and features. Starting with the display, Sony will join the QHD bandwagon, and the Xperia Z4 display will boast a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Not only that, the Xperia Z4 is also expected to be powered by the forthcoming Snapdragon 810 processor paired with a whopping 4GB of RAM. Other changes that are set to be included are a new camera, which will have the same 20.7-megapixel count, but better quality courtesy of a new curved Exmor camera sensor. Sony is also likely to add amplifiers behind its signature stereo speakers at the front, similar to what HTC offers on its BoomSound speakers. Beside the smartphone itself, the report also claims that Sony is set to increase the shelf-life of its flagship devices by giving up on its six month upgrade cycle. It is however too early to say how much of this is true, and we will suggest you take it with a proverbial pinch of salt.
