The image is of a very low resolution, and shows off a 5.5-inch Xperia Z5+ phablet. In the image, we can also see the elongated power button again, which is rumored to have the fingerprint scanner integrated. Previous sensors have either been embedded on the front home button or the back. The image shows also off a metal frame, and a color variant in gold as well, apart from silver and black.
As the tradition goes, the company is expected to unveil the flagship Xperia Z5, along with the Xperia Z5 Compact and the Xperia Z5 Ultra aka Xperia Z5+. Early rumors suggest that the Xperia Z5 will feature a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 21-megapixel sensor, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
As with all leaks, we recommend you to not consider this leak as the absolute final verdict. In any case, Sony is holding its event on September 2 at IFA, where it is expected to unveil the smartphones, and we will know all the details for certain then.
