SWAT Kats creators Christian Tremblay and Yvon Tremblay have taken to Kickstarter to crowdfund their project to bring back the cartoon series after 22 long years. The Tremblay brothers want to create a new series called SWAT Kats Revolution, and need help in collecting $50,000. The brothers want a basic funding of $50,000 for a new TV series bible, 3 scripts, character design and concept art. But they are also ambitious enough to seek $1,500,000, which would help them make a 70 minute movie. For those too young to remember, SWAT Kats essentially a cartoon series from the Hanna-Barbera studios, and was aired on Cartoon Network in the 90’s. It is a story based in the fictitious city of Megakat City, populated by anthropomorphic felines, known as “kats.” SWAT Kats are two vigilantes who protect the city from villains using their state-of-the-art weaponry.
