Tata DOCOMO today announced its partnership with Opera to provide a co-branded Opera Mini mobile browser for its subscribers. The official announcement maybe a little scant on details of the partnership, but the screenshots provided reveal what the co-branded browser might offer. For example, the screenshots of the speed dial section on the Opera Mini browser seem to contain shortcuts to Tata DOCOMO services by default that offer music, games and more. Opera has also promised users who download the app higher data compression which should load webpages faster even on 2G and also less consumption of data. In addition, subscribers will also be able to take advantage of Opera’s features like Smart Page, Speed Dial, and password manager and download manager among others.
