After the removal of talk time plans, most users were left with no option but to go for smart recharge plan that were introduced earlier by the telecom player. Now, this new plan which offers voice calling benefits will come as a savior for those who just need voice benefits and are not interested combined plans that offer additional features like data benefits.
With this newly introduced plan of Rs 88, Tata Docomo is offering unlimited local, STD and national roaming voice calls along with 100 SMS per day for 28 days. The plan is being marketed as unlimited voice calling plan, but the calling benefit is capped at 250 minutes per day. However, there is no word on weekly usage limit. Vodafone Idea, for example, offers daily limit of 250 minutes but the weekly limit is capped at 1,000 minutes.
Once Tata Docomo users complete the daily limit of 250 minutes, the telco will start charging them at 30 paise per minute. In order to make phone calls after the daily limit, you will need to have some kind of talk balance. It is also important to note that the price of this plan varies across different circles. In some circles, it is priced at Rs 88 but in some circles, the same plan is available for Rs 69.

Tata Docomo joins to remove talk time recharges
Last month, India’s telecom industry saw a major change with incumbent players deciding to drop those good-old talk time recharges. The move is forcing a lot of customers to make a monthly minimum recharge of Rs 23 or more. Tata Docomo also jumped in with its own combo recharges starting at Rs 23.
The Rs 88 recharge plan will come as a relief to all those users who make monthly recharge. While it does not provide any data benefits, it does come with unlimited voice calling option, which most users prefer in this space.
