Tata Sky wants to help its customers ease through the 21 days of lockdown. The company is now offering the popular Tata Sky Fitness value-added service (VAS) at no additional cost. The service will be available to existing subscribers during the 21-day lockdown period. As people spend more time at home, DTH operators are seeing increase in time spent on these services. In order to help their subscribers stay healthy, operators are introducing new services.
Ahead of this announcement, D2h had confirmed the removal of one-day charges on the day of Janata Curfew. Now, Tata Sky is offering its fitness-centric VAS at no extra cost. The announcement comes PM Narendra Modi announced 21 days lockdown across the nation. The PM urged the people to stay home and help contain the spread of Coronavirus. The new fitness-centric package from Tata Sky will definitely help subscribers stay fit while they are locked indoors.
Tata Sky Fitness is available on channel number 110, according to Telecom Talk. It will also be available on Live TV and VOD on the Tata Sky Mobile app. The leading DTH operator claims that Fitness VAS is one of the most popular and longest running services on the platform. With the announcement, the Fitness VAS will reach a subscriber base of more than 50 million people. The primary goal is to help these people stay fit and remain active.
This will be beneficial to those working from home who might be missing out on travel and thus activity of some sorts. Tata Sky Fitness will be available in English, Hindi and Telugu languages. It will encourage subscribers to stay fit by offering advice and opinion from experts on the platform. The service includes daily slot dedicated to women’s fitness, fitness for senior citizens, nutrition advice and celebrity fitness secrets. There is also interactive sessions available on the service.
Tata Sky Fitness is generally available for Rs 2 per day. However, during the lockdown period, it will be available for free. In terms of schedule, Yoga & Workout will be available between 6:00AM to 12:00PM & 4:00PM to 11:00PM. Women’s Special will be aired between 12:00PM to 4:00PM and Meditation Music will take place between 11:00PM to 5:00AM. It offers Celebrity programme on Sundays while a dedicated Senior Citizen’s programme is aired between 6:30AM to 7:30AM and 6:30PM to 7:30PM.
