Last week, we reported about Tata Sky shutting down the Karaoke service. Now, Tata Sky Karaoke service is officially shut down, and channel number 805 is removed too. Those with Tata Sky Karaoke as a part of your subscription, here is what you need to know.
What happens to Tata Sky Karaoke subscription
The DTH operator introduced Karaoke, a global first video-based music service in February 2014 in partnership with Hungama. The is available on Tata Sky+ HD set-top-box connections. The service used to show lyrics along with the song video, giving you a chance to sing along.
As confirmed by a report on DreamDTH, the Tata Sky Karaoke pack will be dropped from your account. Those with a semi-annual or an annual subscription, the refund amount will be credited on pro-rata basis. In case you have a monthly subscription, you won’t be eligible for the refund.
Tata Sky Gurus shutting down soon
“Tata Sky Gurus” is yet another service that will cease to exist from August 31 midnight. The service was launched in December 2016 to offer teachings of spiritual Gurus. It offered access to wisdom from Brahma Kumaris, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. If the channel is not dropped, subscribers will be automatically moved to ‘Tata Sky Aradhana’ from August 31.
Tata Sky NCF 153 slab now offers 200 channels
Tata Sky has now started offering 200 channels in the initial slab. All the channels included in the pack are of SD resolution. These include 29 DD channels and 166 FTA (free to air) channels. Tata Sky has also added 5 service channels. These include Tata Sky Darshan where you can watch live telecast from temples. You get live feed from Shirdi, SiddhiVinayak, Jyotirlinga Shrine, Iskcon Temple, Omkareshwar, Mahakaleshwar and more. Tata Sky Kids Cinema, Tata Sky Bhojpuri Sanima, Tata Sky Show Bizz and Tata Sky Family Health are also a part of the pack.
