Tecno Mobile has launched three new budget smartphones in India, and one of the highlights is the dual AI Camera on all three phones. The affordable of the lot is the Camon iAir2+ priced at Rs 8,999, Camon i2 priced at Rs 10,499, and the Camon i2X priced at Rs 12,499. All three smartphones will be available to purchase from offline retail stores across the country. Tecno Mobile has also partnered Reliance Jio to offer 50GB data along with other benefits worth Rs 2,250. The Camon iAir2+, the Camon i2 and Camon i2X share some similar specifications such as battery capacity, screen size, operating system, and some features, such as AI Camera. The AI includes scene detection feature to automatically optimize the photos you click. There is also AI beauty mode when clicking selfies to optimize facial skin tone, contours and more. Tecno Camon iAir2+, Camon i2, Camon i2X specifications and features
As mentioned above, all three smartphones share similar specifications with a few changes. All devices come with a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a notch, and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a MediaTek MTK6761 quad-core SoC on the Camon iAir2+, Camon i2, whereas the Camon i2X comes with a MediaTek MTK6762 octa-core SoC. Other common features include dual SIM card slots and a dedicated microSD card slot, a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, a 3,750mAh battery, and Android 8.1 Oreo OS with HiOS skin on top.
The changes come in the form of storage variants and camera modules. To begin with, the Camon iAir2+ comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage, a dual camera setup at the back with 13-megapixel sensor (f/1.8 aperture) + a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel front snapper.
The Camon i2, on the other hand, comes with 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, the same dual camera setup as the Camon iAir2+, but comes with a higher resolution 16-megapixel front camera. Lastly, the Camon i2X features 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage, a 13-megapixel primary camera with a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor, and a 16-megapixel front camera.
