YouTube is now more popular than Facebook amongst teens, a survey report by the Futures Company suggests. Mashable reports that the survey was conducted on 4,014 youth aged between 12 to 29, out of which nearly 50 percent of teens voted for YouTube as their favorite site while only 45.2 percent preferred Facebook. According to the report, the participants were asked to choose the top five most liked websites and while YouTube and Facebook emerged as the top two sites, Amazon was favored by 27.8 percent, followed by Google which got 25 percent and Twitter received 19.5 percent votes.
The report also shows that while Facebook is losing its charm amongst teens, it still retains the most popular website tag at 55 percent amongst those in their twenties.
