There is no doubt that the technology of Virtual Reality (VR) is here to stay, and we can only expect it to get better with time. Google Cardboard is largely credited with bringing VR to the masses, and it wasn’t only cheap, but also brought a DIY option for the user. Considering how simple it is to assemble, US-based ‘MakeZine Media’ decided to make a Google cardboard that is edible. Yes, you read that right, the headset we are talking about is entirely edible except for the two lenses. Only gram crackers and icing were used to make this VR headset. Even though it s edible and uses crackers, assembling it requires exact measurements and spacing, because this edible cracker Google cardboard is not just edible, but it actually works as VR headset as well. Also Read - How to create your own Memoji on iPhone for fun conversations
It s also interesting to know how the idea of the edible Google cardboard came up. Make s Caleb Kraft explains that at an edit meet the editors were discussing what should go in their virtual reality issue, so one of them suggested that it would be cool if they had a customizable or editable Google cardboard. While the suggestion was for an “editable cardboard,” somebody else misheard it as edible cardboard and exclaimed that it would be a great idea. Caleb Kraft could not let that brilliant idea die and hence worked on his version of edible cardboard headset.
This may not be the most well-designed cardboard headset, it may also break off multiple times when you try to test or taste it, but it definitely makes for a fun DIY project!
