As a part of a marketing campaign for Canadian beer makers Molson, Google and Thinking Box have developed a “Global Beer Fridge.” Essentially, you say “I am Canadian” in six different languages to open the fridge with free beers inside. The beer supports 40 languages including English, French, Mandarin, Korean and even Hindi among others. Needless to say, the fridge’s language recognizing capabilities are powered by Google’s voice translation technology. Also Read - Google could launch its first-ever foldable Pixel phone this year
As mentioned above, this is basically a marketing company for the beer makers and the theme is to celebrate Canada’s cultural diversity in time for the country’s birthday tomorrow. In case you are in Canada and want to grab a free beer, you can wait for its next appearance on July 10 in Toronto.
