LG is gearing up to unveil its 2017 flagship smartphone, the G6, and it has already released a teaser asking what consumers want in an ideal smartphone. The teaser hints at water resistant capabilities, large all-screen, bezel-less display, and more. Last year s Samsung Galaxy Note 7 already had most of these features, but the battery fiasco led to the sad demise of the smartphone. We are conducting battery heat exposure tests to a temperature 15 percent higher than the temperature set by the international standards of the US and Europe. The battery also undergoes diverse tests such as piercing it with a sharp nail or dropping a heavy object on it from a high place,” LG press team told Korea Herald. LG also mentioned that the internals are completely redesigned to have more space between components to disperse heat. The company has also conducted anti-shock and anti-puncture tests to see how much torture the smartphone can withstand. ALSO READ: LG confirms G6 will not have modular functionality like the G5
