Tinder has had some stories that have turned out unsavory for women to say the least, and now the dating app wants to give women on the app more control over their interaction. The dating app is apparently testing a new feature right now that is called My Move , which will only be available to women on the app. Reuters reports that women can turn this feature on in the settings of the app and it will allow only the woman to start a conversation when matched with a man.

This gives the woman an extra layer of security after both the woman and the man have swiped right for each other. Normally either person matched can start a conversation on Tinder, and right now the My Move feature is being tested only in India. But the company wants to roll it out globally if it is successful. Tinder may be taking after one of rivals, Bumble, which already has a feature that allows only women to start a conversation when a female and male match.

Tinder has recently launched Tinder U which is aimed at college students and even Facebook is now getting into the dating app scene with its Dating service that it kicked off in Colombia. The service recently revealed new statistics in India which talked about which were the most popular jobs that were preferred by both the genders.
