The doodle has the man wearing a red cardigan, all geared up for Christmas. He is seen skiing away with a rope tied around his belly, pulling another sleigh loaded with gifts. The festival of Christmas is celebrated worldwide on December 25 to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25 was in 336AD, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on December 25. Google also has its annual Santa Tracker up, which follows Santa Claus’ journey across the globe via Google Map. The dedicated website, (also an app) is filled with games and Christmasy jingles to keep the festive spirit up.
After the loaded-with-cuteness first two doodles, we look forward to tomorrow’s doodle!
