Truecaller hasn t highlighted how the six-second ads would work on its app. The ads could come with a skip option but considering the short duration it seems unlikely. Truecaller s decision to introduce video ads comes at a time when online marketing and advertising is spreading across social platforms. Ads were more common on YouTube earlier, but they have now taken over popular social apps such as Facebook and Instagram. On Facebook, ads are now integrated between videos and have no option to skip them. As for Instagram, ads show up in your feed and even in your Stories as well.
