Pepsi Tweet20 is a twitter API based application which brings the excitement of playing cricket on Twitter. Users need to follow the Pepsi India twitter handle (@PepsiIndia) and answer to their tweets to fetch runs and score accordingly.
The company tweets questions related to the the game and replying with the correct answer fetches runs while wrong answers cost wickets. One can also unlock special shots to get bonus runs. Besides this, users can earn Pepsi crowns by completing tasks during the game and can later redeem these for bonus skill, or wickets, or free hit which helps in increasing their score. Apart from crowns and bonuses, players can upgrade levels on the bases of skills and strike rate they get in the game. Also, they can select their own team to play in. The contest has 20 matches divided into 5 pools of four matches each. Each match has 12 tweets.
