Twitter has rolled out a new and rather interesting feature – related headlines – which will display links to the headlines related to a popular tweet. This will give more contextual relevance to a popular or trending tweet, and users will easily be able to discover stories related to it. Twitter has explained this with an example of Jason Collins’ recent tweet in which he had thanked people for supporting him on his disclosure about being a gay NBA player. In that case, the micro-blogging site has displayed in an example that how links of the stories with @jasoncollins34’s tweet embedded in them would be displayed on his tweet’s permalink page.
Twitter has not mentioned how exactly will it shortlist tweets and related stories, however it has mentioned to have already started rolling out the update.
