Twitter has updated its apps for the web, Android and iOS with new features including photo and video preview feature, as well as has added support for retweeting, replying and marking a tweet as favorite right from the timeline. The updates have been made live and are available for users, starting from today itself. Also Read - Your tweets will disappear after 24 hours just like Snapchat stories

Twitter users will now be able to see in-line previews of Twitter photos and Vine-based videos in the tweets on their timelines. The previews of Twitter photos and videos from Vine will now be visible on front and center in tweets. This replaces the photo link-based interface which required a user to click on a link to see a photo, and make photos and videos on the timeline look more prominent. The preview feature is available for all photos but videos are restricted to the Vine videos for now. Those who don t like this change will be able to turn this feature off in the settings menu on Twitter app for Android and iOS.

Besides this, twitter has added single tap-based icons to reply, retweet or favorite a Tweet without having to leave their timeline. This will make it easier for users to access these functions from within the tweets in their timeline.
