Twitter s video sharing app Vine has introduced a direct messaging and video sharing feature, using which one can add video clips or photos to messages and send it to another user in private chat. With this Vine messenger feature, Twitter is taking on the likes of Snapchat and Facebook s Instagram and Messenger apps, which has recently added the voice calling feature as well. This new feature will allow Vine users to send short videos to one or multiple friends including those who are not on the Vine app, but are Twitter users. One can use it Messages section to record a video or shoot a photo and push it to the other user with ease. One can simply tap and hold on the camera button and release to send the photo from within a chat thread.

Vine also allows sharing of even those video messages which are not on Vine, which means users can send direct messages to anyone in their address book, and share these videos via either message or email.
