Luxury cab provider Uber is offering free cab rides as a part of promotional offer. Users who have integrated their Paytm wallets with the service will be able to avail this offer. Users are eligible for five free rides worth up to Rs 300 each. This offer is applicable till 6:00PM November 30, and as mentioned above is only applicable for users who have integrated their Paytm wallets. Earlier this month, Uber announced its partnership with Paytm, wherein the latter would provide a mobile wallet solution in order to comply with RBI regulations. In this new system one can use their debit or credit cards, net banking or even money stored on Paytm s wallet. Existing Uber users will be asked to sign in to Paytm in order to make payments with two-factor authorization. In case the user has money stored in their Paytm wallet it will be automatically debited after the ride.
Uber recently launched the uberGO service, which is the affordable option that is touted to be cheaper than an autorickshaw ride. As for the cities it operates in, earlier this week it expanded its operations to Kochi, which takes the total number to 11 cities across India.
