Uber is used by a lot companies to provide rides for its employees. Here employees are often forced to use two accounts one for personal use and one for business. This of course has led many people to accidentally charge their personal cab rides to their business account and vice-versa. The company is doing so by analyzing billions of Uber trips each year in order to track usage patterns and predict the purpose of a booked ride. Uber claims its suggestions to be accurate 80 percent of the time. That said, the app will give user the option to override its suggestion. Besides that, Uber is also making it easy to manage and monitor the rides taken by employees, through a new feature called Trip reviewers. Here Uber states that a business can simply assign the task to review rides, to one person in a team, instead of having a dedicated travel manager for it. The simple task can be assigned to the manager or an administrative assistant. Essentially, Uber is making it possible for employees and their companies to resolve ride related issues within the app itself.

In other news, Uber recently launched Safety toolkit to ensure safety of its riders. As part of the toolkit, Uber is introducing Safety Center in the app, where user can find tips about safety provided through a partnership with law enforcement. The new feature also lets users share their trips with their family or friends, in order to inform them about their whereabouts. Users will be able to access this through a Shield button present on the screen right from the start to the end of the trip.
