Premium on-demand car service Uber is going where no other cab service in India has gone before. Users in Mumbai and Bangalore will get an aerial tour of their respective cities, which will cover all the popular spots. You can only make requests for two persons per ride and it will cost you Rs 4,999, which also includes a car pickup from your place to the nearest helipad. Users in Bangalore will also get to have brunch at the High Ultra Lounge, which is located on the city’s tallest building. To book a helicopter, you will need to click on the UberCHOPPER button on the lower menu of the Uber app. Once you have clicked on ‘Request CHOPPER’, the company will call you to confirm your request. The service is applicable only for a day — June 14 in Bangalore and June 15 in Mumbai.
While this is a unique initiative by a cab service in India, this isn’t the first time Uber has done something like this. Last year, to celebrate Independence Day in the US, Uber offered similar helicopter rides for New Yorkers for $3,000.
