Uber is getting in on the Holi spirit. To celebrate the colorful festival Uber is bringing colors, and gujiyas to offices on demand. The offer is free and is applicable only for today between 2.00PM to 5.00PM. “On the eve of Holi when every office will be hosting a Holi party, Uber will bring-in some wicked beats to your office bay to pump up the celebrations and bring down the house! All you have to do is fire up the app on March 5 between 2-5pm, slide onto #uberHOLI and we ll arrive at your location with gulaal, gujiya and yes, #uberDHOL. This party on demand offer has been announced only in Hyderabad, Delhi and Pune. Uber users need to head over to the app starting 2:00PM today, and select #UberHOLI option and send a request. Uber will then arrive at your office withgujiyas, gulaal and dhols to fire up a pre-holi bash.
Uber has teamed up with health food company Sattviko for this initiative. The company assured that herbal gulaal will be brought, and suggests that the admin be informed before requesting for #uberHOLI. It also asked Uber users to ensure thatdholwalas are allowed to enter the office premises. Furthermore, the Uber party with the dholwalas will play music for 15 minutes maximum at the office premise, after which they will leave.
While this is a unique initiative, this isn’t the first time Uber has done something like this. Uber arranged for chopper rides on Valentine’s Day for couples. Even last year, Uber offered similar helicopter rides on Father s Day to Mumbai and Bangalore users.
