Alibaba-owned UCWeb and Facebook have partnered up to allow users in India to receivein-browser mobile notifications . Also Read - Google for India 2020 event to take place on July 13: This time it's 'Virtual Edition'

According to TechCrunch,UCWeb says this is the first time Facebook has worked with a mobile browser maker to enable push notifications outside of Facebook’s app without having to install a new add-on. Also Read - Realme C11 coming on Flipkart, reveals key specifications

Once the feature is turned on, users will then be able to receive notifications from Facebook via UC Browser even when it is closed. Also Read - Realme 10,000mAh powerbank with 30W charging spotted

The collaboration is another yet another sign of Facebook’s constant push into India, which has one of the largest markets in terms of active users.
