Yesterday, the official Twitter account of UP Tourism sent out a tweet that was so badly written that it became a butt of jokes and mockery.

Do you remember the scene from the popular TV show Friends where Joey has to write a recommendation letter for Monica and Chandler for reference at the adoption agency? Do you remember how the letter was signed Baby Kangaroo (they are called Joey), because Joey used the thesaurus to type in the letter, and put in all the possible word suggestions he could? Well, looks like the UP Tourism Board has a Joey in their social media team too. Also Read - Big threat for Google, Twitter, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn users

Yesterday, the official Twitter account of UP Tourism posted out a tweet promoting tourism in Varanasi. Although they tweeted a bunch of posts about different places in Uttar Pradesh that are must to visit in UP, but this one particular post about Varanasi, got a little too much of attention (and laughs). The tweet, which has now been taken down, read, The unbeaten sagacious astuteness of #Varanasi is no less than a figurine of rectitude for the people. #ReasonsToUP . What does that even mean? What is sagacious astuteness ? Naturally, this tweet, soon after being posted, became a magnet for jokes and mockery. Twitter users teased and taunted the UP Tourism and their tweet was quickly pulled down.

Social media is eventually turning into a land with deadly mines set beneath it all over. One dicey move and they blast like there is no end. Which, if you see, is both good and bad. Bad because sometimes the social media has reactions that are uncalled for, they react just because they have a say . However, social media has also innumerably made sure the wrong is shown their place. Recently, Shobhaa De insulted the Indian athletes at Rio Olympics 2016 calling their efforts a waste of money and opportunity , but Twitter made sure they made De realize how wrong she was.
