Actor Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as The Rock from his days as a professional wrestler, has launched a new pair of wireless fitness-oriented headphones in collaboration with clothing and accessories brand Under Armour. The headphones are called the UA Sport Wireless Project Rock Edition, and are a special edition of the regular UA Sport Wireless headphones.
Considering that Under Armour isn’t in the business of audio gear development, it isn’t surprising that the UA Sport Wireless headphones are designed and developed by JBL. However, Under Armour does have its own branding on it, and the Project Rock Edition comes with The Rock’s iconic ‘Brahma Bull’ symbol on the sides. The headband has the phrase ‘Blood. Sweat. Respect.’ inscribed, and the headset is wireless with Bluetooth connectivity.
The headphones come alongside a variety of other ‘Project Rock’ branded products, most of which are clothing goods and shoes. Under Armour is a popular maker of fitness-oriented accessories and clothing, and is known to work with celebrities in the fitness field. Dwayne Johnson has cultivated an image of being a gym and fitness enthusiast, and these headphones are the latest product to gain his endorsement.

The headphones are sweat-proof, and also come with a fabric lining on the earpads called Supervent which allows for better air flow. Additionally, the ear pads can be removed and hand washed. Considering that these headphones are JBL deep down inside, you also get a typical JBL sound, as well as fast charging which will provide one hour of listening with five minutes of charging. The headset has a 610mAh battery which is rated to run for 16 hours on a single charge.
The headphones are priced at $249, but visiting the Under Armour site will give you an Indian price of Rs 18,484 and the option to ship to India (the price will go up significantly once duties and shipping costs are added).
