The government s plan to implement One nation, one circle roaming free service might have been delayed till October this year, but that hasn t stopped carriers from making roaming a little affordable. After Aircel launched its One Nation, One Rate service which would offer the same call rates on home and roaming networks, Videocon today announced that it had made incoming calls free when on roaming networks. Unlike Aircel s above mentioned service which has to be bought at Rs 25, Videocon s free incoming has been enabled automatically for all its subscribers and will not attract any processing fee or special tariff.
The only catch though is that this free incoming facility is only available as long as you are roaming in Videocon s own network. Now considering Videocon doesn t have operations all across the country, you will find your phone switching to other networks when on the move.
The revised tariffs are mentioned below.
|Call type||Call type||While Roaming on Videocon Network|
|Outgoing SMS||– Local / National||Re. 3.45/SMS|
|– International||Re. 5/SMS|
