Yesterday we reported about the Android Jelly Bean laden 10.1-inch Spice Stellar Pad, and today we have the Videocon VT-10 tablet, which also features similar specs and costs Rs 10,999. Also Read - D2h HD RF Set-Top box now available with 1 month Platinum HD Combo plan for Rs 1,799
The Videocon VT-10 tablet flaunts a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels, a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM, 2-megapixel cameras on the front and back, a memory card slot that can expand the storage by up to 32GB, and a 6,800 mAh battery. As far connectivity options go, it supports HDMI, micro-USB and can even support USB 3G dongles. Videocon has pre-installed a number of applications like NexGtv, Facebook and Nimbuzz but that isn’t a big deal considering most of these apps can be downloaded from Google Play for free anyway.
In comparison to the Spice Stellar Pad, the VT-10 fares pretty well as the specs are very similar with it having a slightly smaller battery, but then again the Spice Stellar Pad is Rs 2,000 costlier. The tablet market in India is expected to double in 2013 from three million units shipped in 2012 to cross over six million units.
