The video portal had initially announced in 2013 about its plan to rollout support for Chromecast and reassured it late last year, but it wasn’t until today that it is finally available to consumers. Vimeo is a handy addition to the list of Chromecast supported channels. The video portal has more than 30 million registered users and gleans more than 170 million page views every month. Chromecast is a USB dongle-shaped HDMI-capable device that is capable of beaming audio and video content on a high definition via Wi-Fi or local network. As for the support in Android app, a company representative told VentureBeat that support on Android app will be rolling out in coming months. The delay is due to the small development team the company maintains.
