Vivo’s strategy of launching an E-store is an affirmation of the Indian market maturing in terms of internet penetration, payment & fulfilment infrastructure, thus representing a huge growth potential,” said Kenny Zeng, Chief Marketing Officer, Vivo India.
As part of the offer, Vivo is offering discount coupons up to Rs 2,000 on select smartphones along with 12-month no-cost EMI options. The company is also offering one-time screen replacement on Vivo V7 and V7+ smartphones. On the e-store, Vivo V7+ is listed with a price tag of Rs 21,990, while the V7 is listed at Rs 16,990. Vivo V5S with 20-megapixel moonlight selfie camera is priced at Rs 15,990, while company’s entry-level Y69 smartphone is available for Rs 13,990.
Those buying smartphones during the ‘Launch Carnival’ will also be entitled to BookMyShow couple vouchers worth up to Rs 500. It is also offering free delivery on all orders across the country and 10 customers will get a chance to win Bluetooth speakers worth Rs 2,999 via lucky draw.
Apart from the e-store, Vivo is also planning to launch a dedicated app for the store with features like Augmented Reality and ability to live chat with representatives to help with a more informed buying decision. Vivo fans will also be able to buy brand merchandise via the e-store in India. Vivo says its e-store currently supports more than 10,000 pin codes across the country.
According to Counterpoint Research, Vivo is the third largest smartphone brand in the country with a market share of nine percent. It is one of the fastest growing smartphone brands in India, and having reached many brick and mortar shops, the company is targeting the online segment currently dominated by Xiaomi.
