Vivo NEX is all set to launch in India today. It is the first ever smartphone to come with a truly bezel-less screen and a pop-up selfie camera. While the company launched two variants in China in June – the Vivo NEX A and Vivo NEX S, we believe it is only brining the Vivo NEX S to India. Based on recent rumors, the phone is expected to be priced around Rs 48,900 and is said to be available in red and black color variants. Vivo NEX S specifications and features
As mentioned, Vivo NEX S is one of the first smartphone to feature a full screen display. It comes with a 6.59-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, which has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.24 percent. On top of that, it carries a resolution of 2316 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio 19.3:9. Powering the device is octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC clocked at 2.7GHz, coupled with 8GB of RAM and the option of choosing between 128GB or 256GB storage. The pop-up front camera houses an 8-megapixel sensor. It elevates automatically when switching to the front camera in the app. The camera is also backed by AI technology and features Face Unlock as well. At the back, there is a dual camera setup, which comprises of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel image sensors. The duo is also supplemented by multiple AI enhancements.

On the connectivity side of things, the Vivo NEX S supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery and runs on Funtouch OS 4 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. To maintain the aesthetics of the smartphone, Vivo has also equipped it with its revolutionary in-display fingerprint senor, first appeared on the Vivo X21.
