Vivo is all set to launch the NEX-series smartphones on June 12. The devices, NEX and NEX S, are based on the APEX concept phone with a full-screen display and pop-out camera that was shown at MWC 2018. Now, ahead of the launch, the phones were accidentally leaked Vivo website. The leak also revealed their price and specifications.
As we can see in the leaked photos, both Vivo smartphones come with a full-screen display on the front, without a notch. The bottom chin is also very thin compared to other smartphones, offering a proper edge-to-edge display. The 3.5mm headphone socket can be seen on the top, whereas the charging port is at the bottom. The volume rocker and power button is on the right.
Watch: Oppo F7 Vs Vivo V9: Specifications compared
The back houses a vertically placed dual camera setup on the left, along with an LED flash. And a fingerprint sensor is placed at the center, just above the NEX branding. It is the basic version with the price listed as RMB 9,999, approximately Rs 100,600. But this pricing isn’t accurate. The other, is believed to be the NEX S, which skips the rear mounted fingerprint sensor, and comes with an in-display one instead, and surprisingly, it is also priced at RMB 9,999, and again, we believe that the pricing isn’t the one with which it could finally launch.
