Vivo confirmed the September 6 launch of its premium X23 smartphone for China through social media channels. Now the company has officially sent out media invites for the launch event, which is on the same day as the V11 Pro launch in India.
Recently, Vivo X23 live photos were leaked on Weibo showcasing the smartphone in its full glory alongside comparison images with the recently launched Oppo R17. Even further, the specifications of X23 were leaked last week on web in an alleged presentation slide by Vivo. Not just that, there was an official listing of the Vivo X23 by the company, but it was later taken down.
Vivo X23 Specifications and Features
So far the leaks indicate that Vivo X23 will pack a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display (1080×2340 pixels) with a notch similar to Oppo R17 and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The screen will have 91.2 percent screen-to-body ratio and a fourth-generation Ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor.
Inside, the smartphone will pack Qualcomm’s 10mn Snapdragon 670 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz. It will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The preloaded FunTouch 4.5 UI on the Vivo X23 will be based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS.

In terms of camera, the Vivo X23 will features a 12-megapixel selfie camera at the front. The rear camera will be a dual-lens setup, which will include a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor and a secondary 13-megapixel sensor. The rear camera combination is similar to the ones of the Pocophone F1, Mi Mix 2S, and Vivo NEX S. The 3400mAh battery on Vivo X23 will come with fast charging tech from Vivo and a 22.5W charger.
