Vivo launched the V9 Youth late in April this year for a price of Rs 18,990. The phone is said to be a toned-down version of the Vivo V9, with one its key highlights being the 6.3-inch FullView display, and AI integration. Now, the phone seems to be getting a price cut of Rs 1,000, bringing down its starting price to Rs 17,990.
The news was reported by Mumbai-based Mahesh Telecom. However, it should be noted that the news isn’t official yet, and Vivo hasn’t commented on it either. At the moment, the phone is listed on Amazon India and Flipkart at its original price of Rs 18,990. Besides online, the phone is also available in Vivo authorized stores across the country. The phone comes in black and gold colors.
Vivo V9 Youth specifications and features
Vivo V9 Youth runs on the Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The storage can further be expanded to 256GB via a microSD card. It features a 6.3-inch display with Full HD+ (2280×1080 pixels) resolution, and 19:9 aspect ratio. There is also a cutout at the top for the notch, which carries the front camera, sensors and the ear piece.

There’s a dual rear camera setup, which features a combination of 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel image sensors. For taking selfies, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera up front, supplemented with AI enhancements. It comes with face beautification and machine learning to tweak images. The smartphone runs Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and is fueled by a 3,260mAh battery.
