While Vivo has not officially shared any detail about the device, the specifications of the Vivo V9 Youth have surfaced online. Slashleaks reveals that Vivo V9 Youth will feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 19:9. That display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Also Read - Vivo announces a new RGBW camera sensor for smartphones; everything we know
However, the major difference comes under the hood of the smartphone. The Vivo V9 Youth will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 mobile platform, a low power variant compared to the Snapdragon 626 mobile platform found on the V9. This is the same processor also found under the hood of Xiaomi Redmi 5 in India. However, the Redmi 5 has a HD+ display, while the Vivo V9 Youth will offer a Full HD+ display.
Other specifications suggest that Vivo V9 Youth will come bundled with 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. It will also support expandable storage of up to 256GB via SD card slot. On the camera front, the Vivo V9 Youth will feature a combination of 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. It will feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera along with support for bokeh mode, AI enhancements, face beautification, 4K video recording and AR stickers.
The Vivo V9 Youth will also feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that will also double as a shutter button. It will support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and run Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone will house a 3,260mAh battery but the leak does not reveal price or availability of the device.
