Vivo is rumored to be working on a new smartphone called X20. The Vivo X20 leaked recently through promotional posters for the Football World Cup 2018, sporting an all-screen design. The latest bit of information to all the rumors is the possible use of 6GB of RAM. A China-based publication news.sina.com has revealed full specifications of the Vivo X20, leaving nothing much to guess. However, as there is no official word on the smartphone, it is advised to take the information with a grain of salt. As per the report, the purported Vivo X20 will be accompanied with the X20 Plus model as well. Also Read - Best 5G smartphones with top MediaTek processors under Rs 30,000 in June 2021
In terms of specifications, the X20 is likely to pack a 5.2-inch bezel-less display while the Plus variant is expected to boast a larger 5.5-inch display. Both the smartphones are said to feature an aspect ratio of 18:9, similar to the LG G6. Under the hood, the X20 is speculated to pack 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC while the X20 Plus is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. Interestingly, both smartphones are speculated to pack 6GB of RAM, 3,500mAh battery, and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. So essentially, the X20 could be targeted at users looking at a more compact option, while the ‘Plus’ variant could be aimed at those looking at a large-screen option, along with a slight bump in performance.
Coming from Vivo’s stable, the two smartphones are evidently going to be camera focused. Both the Vivo X20 and X20 Plus are likely to boast a 24-megapixel front camera. Another interesting feature, likely to debut with the two smartphones, is the presence of an under-display fingerprint sensor. The company had already demonstrated the technology at the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai earlier this year through a prototype.
